How do I create an invoice for a customer?

Creating an invoice in WolfAdmin takes seconds once you know the flow - here it is step by step.

Step 1: Click the +Invoice button

Click the +Invoice button at the top left of any page.

Step 2: Choose the customer

  • New customer? Create them right there - name and email are enough to start.
  • Existing customer? Start typing their name and pick them from the suggestions.
  • Walk-in sale? Select the Cash Account if you have it enabled (typical for retail).

Step 3: Add the invoice details and items

Under Invoice Details you will see the customer's name and date, and can give the invoice a title if you like. Then add each item: quantity, description, price, and a discount if applicable.

If you have the Stock module enabled, use the icon in the Type column to switch a line between a stock entry and a manual entry. Stock entries search your inventory as you type and fill in the price automatically.

Step 4: Add a receipt (optional)

If the customer is paying immediately you can add the receipt at the same time (for Cash Account sales this is required). Otherwise, create the receipt later from the customer's statement.

Step 5: Create and send

Click Create Invoice. From the preview you can email the invoice to your customer, print it, or save it as a PDF. You can also still edit it, cancel it, or add a receipt.
