Basic vs Advanced stock module - what's the difference?

Stock & Suppliers  |  Updated 19 July 2026

All Articles

The stock module comes in two levels, and you can start basic and upgrade whenever your needs grow. The video above shows the Advanced module in detail.

Basic stock module

  • Add stock items with prices and images
  • Track quantities on hand (optional)
  • Sell to customers and accept returns

Advanced stock module - everything in Basic, plus:

  • Track stock by supplier and by location (eg. different branches or storerooms)
  • Differentiate new and used stock
  • Ordering recommendations based on sales, purchase orders, and two-click stock arrival
  • Full stock and sales reports - profits, sold stock, ordering

Which should you choose?

If you just need to sell items and know roughly what is on the shelf, Basic is enough. If you reorder from suppliers, run more than one location, or want profit reporting per item, go Advanced.

You can upgrade from Basic to Advanced at any time - your existing stock comes along, nothing needs recapturing.
