How do I import stock from a CSV file?

Stock & Suppliers  |  Updated 19 July 2026

All Articles

Moving from another system or a spreadsheet? You don't need to capture stock by hand - import it.

Step 1: Open the stock import

Go to your Stock page and choose Import.

Step 2: Download the template

On the import page, click Download Template to get a CSV file with the correct column headings. Open it in Excel or any spreadsheet application.

Step 3: Fill in your items

One row per stock item - descriptions, prices, quantities and so on, matching the template's headings. Save it as CSV when done.

Step 4: Import and review

Upload your file on the import page and review the result. If something looks wrong, you can fix the CSV and import again, or edit items individually afterwards.

You can also export your stock to CSV at any time - useful for bulk edits in a spreadsheet (change, export, adjust, re-import) or simply as a backup snapshot.
