Discontinued lines and items you no longer sell clutter your stock list and Point of Sale searches. Archiving tidies them away without deleting the history.
Archiving
On your Stock page, click Archive Old Stock at the top and follow the screen to choose what gets archived.
What happens to archived stock?
- It no longer appears in your day-to-day stock views and searches (the search filter's Archived Stock option defaults to Exclude)
- Past sales and reports that involve the item are unaffected - your history stays complete
- Need to see or revive something? Change the Archived Stock filter on the stock page to include archived items
Archive rather than delete: if the item ever comes back into your range, everything about it is still there.
